The Smart Energy Council's learning platform was updated in June 2026; what do I need to know?
In June 2026 the Smart Energy Council conducted an upgrade to it's learning platform. These are the details that impacted user's of the platform.
Why was the upgrade performed?
All technology systems require updates and upgrades on a regular basis and this upgrade was a part of the Smart Energy Councils commitment to ensuring the use of modern smart technology systems.
The upgrade was completed on the 19th of June 2026.
How did this upgrade impact users of the platform?
Users may have noticed an interruption to services on the learning platform for a few days while the final stages of this upgrade were completed.

Any in-progress training was required to be completed by users prior to midnight on the 14th June 2026.
- After the upgrade was completed any of that in-progress training was reset to the beginning of the course content. This means the user would have to restart that material from the beginning.
- All users of the site were required to reset their password for the site by using the Forgot your password? link on the sign-in page. - Detailed instructions can be found abouut how to do this in the articles on this site. Just use the search bar above.
- The registration process for the Smart Installer program was upgraded with a simple new web-form. This is to collect information that allows the Smart Energy Council to provide better products and services for our Smart Installer program participants.
- The ne enhanced registration process does not impact any registers Smart Installers that were already a part of the program.
